The opportunity has arisen for a bright, meticulous Procurement Specialist to join our small but dedicated team of three. Based in our Support Office in Mount Eden, Monday to Friday, this full time role is responsible for:
- Item creation and price imports into Microsoft Dynamics AX Accounting Software
- Placement of purchase orders with foreign and local suppliers, and negotiating delivery dates, prices, MOQs/MOVs with them
- Monitoring and tracking shipment movements of purchase orders against delivery times
- Facilitating shipment clearance and providing accurate documentation
- Working closely with Buying and Design teams to ensure products are delivered on time and according to design specifications
- Working closely with Planning to ensure prices and minimum order quantities are met
- Ordering samples from suppliers for gift fair and photography purposes
- Arranging product testing and obtaining certificates and declarations
- Quality checking product as it arrives
To hit the ground running, you will need to have previous experience in procurement or production, and exposure to purchase order management with foreign and local suppliers and facilitation of shipment clearance.
Expert communication skills are a must, as you will be liaising with our suppliers from around the world and contributing to internal discussion. You will also need to be fluent in Mandarin, as liaising with key supplier in China is an integral part of this role. You will be competent in time management and prioritisation, have excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
Prior experience working with Microsoft Dynamics AX is preferred.
Covering a period of parental leave, this position is fixed term from start of July 2024 to mid February 2025.
