Città is a New Zealand design company, proud to be family owned and operated for the past 33 years. We are always evolving and firmly focused on beautiful and original design. Being a well-loved brand in homes across New Zealand, we have grown to be a team of approximately 120, with 11 retail stores nationwide.
Holding material certifications and commercial testing for all furniture designed in our Auckland Studio, Città has recently expanded into the NZ commercial market with our existing product range which is known for its more residential placement, but provides a softness to an ever-evolving commercial market. We have also begun developing more commercial-specific furniture to support this channel to market, and will continue to grow the offering in time.
Job Description
The Role
This role will be crucial to Città’s commercial strategy, identifying new sales opportunities and pitching for this business through proposals and presentations, forming strong industry relationships, and educating on products whilst providing the highest level of service and expertise. You will have the ability to extract, analyse and interpret sales data and identify new products to promote. For the right candidate, this is an exciting opportunity to make your mark by leading the growth of Commercial sales in our business.
Key responsibilities include:
Proactively building and maintaining excellent relationships with architects and designers
Market research, prospecting, and lead generation
Client presentations
Attending industry networking events and client entertainment
Growing pipeline of projects
Maintaining Customer account information
Maintaining quotes and sales admin processes
Managing end to end orders and working with other Città teams to provide a seamless delivery experience for our clients
Strong communication skills and product knowledge will be essential, alongside your ability to hone your skills to maintain in-depth and current working knowledge of our products, design and manufacturer specifications.

To be successful in this role you will possess strong commercial and sales acumen, and the focus, knowledge and drive to maximise opportunities with existing accounts and secure new business to achieve results.
The ideal candidate will be able to hit the ground running with established contacts in the architecture and design industry, and have the confidence to work autonomously.
You will have:
Proven account management experience within the design space
Prior sales success as a target driven person
Excellent interpersonal skills including partnership and teamwork
Excellent written communication and presentation skills
Genuine networking skills at senior levels within businesses
Understanding of the architectural specification process – can pick up and translate technical information with ease
Competency in quoting, processing sales orders etc
