Job Description

In this dynamic role, you’ll support our 130-strong team across New Zealand by delivering effective, people-first HR services. We implemented an HRIS in 2023 that you'll be responsible for administering to. If you’re a natural coordinator with 2–4 years of experience in HR (and 4+ years in administration), this is your opportunity to grow your career with a company that genuinely values design, sustainability, and people.

What you'll be doing

You’ll be the go-to person for operational HR support, bringing clarity, care, and capability to core people processes. Key responsibilities include:

  • HRIS administration – Maintain and optimise our HRIS (ELMO) with everything from recruitment and onboarding to performance reviews and training modules.
  • Recruitment support – Coordinate job ads, screen candidates, and support hiring managers across retail, warehouse and support office.
  • Payroll coordination – Ensure employee data is up-to-date and accurate for seamless payroll processing. Complete checks for fortnightly payroll processing – requires public holiday work when dates coincide.
  • Learning & Development – Build and launch training content within the HRIS to support ongoing employee growth.
  • Health & Safety – Keep our people safe and our systems compliant by maintaining policies and supporting a proactive safety culture.

Desired Skills and Experience

What you’ll bring

2–4 years’ experience in a generalist HR role, ideally with exposure to recruitment, onboarding, and payroll.

At least 4 years of administration experience and a natural knack for staying organised.

Strong communication skills and a people-first approach to your work.

Strong technical proficiency - Confidence working with HRIS systems (we use ELMO) and the Microsoft Office suite (particularly Excel).

A positive, proactive mindset and the ability to juggle multiple priorities with care.
