As our Assistant Manager, you’ll support our lovely Sales Manager to lead and motivate a close-knit team with a shared passion for textiles, furniture and great design. You’ll bring energy and enthusiasm to the role, helping to inspire the BLOC team to deliver an exceptional customer experience while achieving sales targets. A natural people leader with a strong sales drive, you’ll enjoy coaching your team, celebrating success and working together to achieve great results.
This role will suit someone who enjoys staying organised, solving problems and keeping things running smoothly. You’ll be responsible for keeping a close eye on stock levels, making sure reporting is accurate and ensuring our stock management processes are followed. Attention to detail is important, as is taking pride in getting things right.
You’ll have at least 12 months’ experience in a sales environment (or a relevant qualification), ideally working with high-end products, interiors or furniture. You’ll be confident working towards sales targets and genuinely enjoy getting to know customers and helping them find the right product. Providing a personal, thoughtful customer experience should come naturally to you.
You’ll also be comfortable using Microsoft Office and retail software systems, and be happy to pick up new systems when needed.
This is a full-time role, working 39 hours across five days, Tuesday to Saturday. You’ll also need to be available to work on public holidays when required.
